Biography:

Petra Perner (IAPR Fellow) is the director of the IBaI. She received her Diploma degree in electrical engineering and her PhD degree in computer science for the work on “Data Reduction Methods for Industrial Robots with Direct Teach-in-Programing”. Her habilitation thesis was about “A Methodology for the Development of Knowledge-Based Image-Interpretation Systems". She has been the principal investigator of various national and international research projects. She received several research awards for her research work and has been awarded with 3 business awards for her work on bringing intelligent image interpretation methods and data mining methods into business.

Biography:

Prof Dr Parameshwar P Iyer has earned his Bachelors, Masters, and Doctoral degrees from IIT Kharagpur, Universities of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and California at Davis. He has been on the Faculties at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey (in the USA), and at the IIT Kharagpur, IIM Kozhikode, and IISc Bangalore (all in India), where he is currently pursuing research, teaching, and consulting in Managenet of Innovation, Projects, and Entrepreneurship. He has published more than 50 papers in reputed journals and has been serving as an editorial board member of repute in a number of Interanational and National peer-reviewed Journals

Biography:

Ergi Sener, who is indicated as one of the 20 Turkish people to be followed in the field of technology (*), received a BS in Microelectronics Engineering in 2005 and double MS in Telecommunications & Management in 2007 from Sabanci University. He is pursuing a PHD degree in Innovation. He worked at Garanti Payment Systems, Turkcell and MasterCard all for managing new businesses and innovation. Her is currently acting as the CEO of Bonbon Tech, the biggest IoT focused new generation analytics company of Turkey. He is also acting as the CDO of Holland based incubation center, IdeaField.

Biography:

Shunpu Zhang is currently Chair of the Department of Statistics. He received his Ph.D. in statistics from the University of Alberta in 1997. His research interests cover a wide range of topics which include general statistical methodology, empirical Bayes data analysis, bioinformatics, large scale multiple hypothesis testing and its application to genomics, statistical methods related to influenza virus genotyping and developing computationally intensive algorithms for analyzing biological and health survey data. He has also worked in big data analytics.

Biography:

Yedidi Narasimha Murty obtained Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from Andhra University, India in 1998 with Computational Fluid Dynamics as specialization. Yedidi continued his research work at Andhra University with CSIR fellowship till March-2000. Yedidi worked as Research Associate with CSIR fellowship at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras. Since December-2005, Yedidi is Architecting Data warehousing solutions for clients like – Optus-Australia, Ford, Travelers, BestBuy, GE Commercial Finance, PayPal, Bank of the West. Yedidi is currently working with Electronic Arts as BI Solutions Architect. He designed and modeled several solutions on Risk, Payment Transaction processing that is useful for the data driven business enablement. He is editorial board member for “World Journal of Mechanics” and “Fluid Mechanis: Open Access”. He reviewed 50+ research papers for various journals

Biography:

Fairouz Kamareddine has been involved in a number of worldwide consultancy assignments, especially on education and research issues working for United Nations and the EU. Her research interest includes Interface of Mathematics, Logic and Computer Science. She has held numerous invited positions at universities worldwide. She has well over 100 published articles and a number of books. She has played leading roles in the development, administration and implementation of interdisciplinary, international, and academic collaborations and networks.
